Saskatoon Jewels was unveiled on September 18th at the 32nd Annual USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum in Saskatoon. A portion of the revenue from the sale of each print is destined for the Saskatchewan " International Youth Exchange Camp" held once every three years.
Glen has painted into this work the logos of a number charities that the Lions Clubs support. Found in this painting are the following logos; Lions Logo (x2) , International Diabetes Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Scout's Fleur-de-lis.
The stars of the night sky in "Saskatoon Jewels" contain accurate constellations or pieces of them. The stars are correct looking north from Saskatoon Saskatchewan at midnight on September 18th, 2008.
