Glen honors the firefighters of the world by creating this first in a series of "Firemen" paintings. In this piece Glen paints a firemen rescuing a puppy from a house that is spewing smoke and about to burst into flames. The house is a 1923 Eatons mail order house with a field behind the house. A typical Glen Scrimshaw moonlit sky illuminates the winter night as the "Rescue" takes place. A seldom thought of fact is that these brave people constantly battle danger to rescue not only humans but also our animal friends from burning structures.
